Camera Shot Comments Blog Post

I commented on Hannah's camera angles and Cayden's camera angles. On Hannah's I commented on all the shots she showed overall, I mentioned that she captured the shots amazingly, such as the low angle shot, which I compared to something out of a movie. These shots convey the feelings that they should: The tilted angle, along with the expression of the person, give the feeling of insanity, the long shot showing the subject and the background clearly, and the low angle giving a feeling of intimidation. On Cayden's post I mostly talked about the contrast between the two images used, comparing that in the POV, it makes you feel like you are in the moment, as well as noting how tall he is, compared to the wide shot, which makes him feel much smaller compared to the previous image. Both these people conveyed the emotions that you should feel with these images, they did an amazing job!

Camera Angles and Shots Project Blog Post

Last Friday's assignment I partnered with Khaleb Baptiste to recreate some movie angles and shots. I will be sharing some of the shots we took and my opinions on it.           The top image is the POV shot, I took the photo and stuck my fist out, as if I were about to punch him (I of course, did not actually punch him). This felt pretty much like a normal shot, with only the addition of my fist into the frame. The middle shot is the Over the shoulder shot (OTS), In this one, we requested the help of a fellow classmate to stand in front of Khaleb, while I took a picture behind his shoulder. This was a pretty fun one to take a picture of, since it's not a picture you would normally take. Finally, the bottom photo is the low angle, this picture was pretty straightforward to take, I just crouched in front of Khaleb and took a picture looking up at him, I feel that once again you wouldn't really take pictures like this, so it was a pretty interesting angle...
