Camera Angles and Shots Project Blog Post
Last Friday's assignment I partnered with Khaleb Baptiste to recreate some movie angles and shots. I will be sharing some of the shots we took and my opinions on it.
This assignment overall was pretty fun to do, getting to try the shots in person instead of just writing and seeing them was cool. The pictures themselves were easy to shoot, as they were pretty straightforward, we surprisingly did not run into any major problems until after we finished taking the pictures. I had to make a presentation, which I did on my phone, the problem came after, since you had to submit it as a PowerPoint, so I converted the slides into one, then when I tried to submit, it took forever to upload, and when it did, for some reason none of the slides saved, so I had to retry several times. I had to wait until I got home to submit it, which is when it finally worked, apart from that, no other difficulties were present and I had a great time.
The shots all convey emotion but the low angle in particular makes the subject look very intimidating.
ReplyDeleteThe POV shot is well done, showing the person being looked at. The over the shoulder shot is perfectly executed, showing a conversation/interaction between 2 people. The low angle is a good representation of the power and intimidation it is supposed to showcase.
ReplyDeleteI believe all of the shots were well executed and conveyed emotion, especially the P.O.V shot which i felt was the best.
ReplyDeleteI really liked all your camera shots and how they showed emotions through just a photo. The P.O.V shot is really nice on how its what you would see if you were throwing a punch at someone and it makes me feel like I'm in your body looking through your eyes. The low shot also makes him look big and scary with the photo taken and it feels like he has power.
